The Child Life Specialist functions within the Policies, Practices and Program Plans of the Department of Nursing Services at FAHC. Under the direct supervision of the Bair! d 5 Nurse Manager, she/he is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating Child Life programming for hospitalized children that is designed to further the social, emotional and physical well-being of children within the hospital setting. The Child Life Specialist is also responsible for overseeing pediatric volunteers and for orienting hospital staff to the psychosocial and developmental needs of children and their families.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Child Life with 2 years of experience. Master's Degree in Child Life preferred.
Experience:
Must have Child Life Specialist Certification
