The starting rate of pay for this position is $23.04 per hour and a 40% market factor adjustment is added to bring the total hourly rate to $32.26 per hour.

Overview
The Woodside Juvenile Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse II to join our team. The Psychiatric Nurse II position opening affords applicants to join a multidisciplinary team providing best practices, both psychiatric and medical, to a population of adjudicated youth. Woodside utilizes a strength based, goal directed, family/youth centered model. Our mission is to provide opportunity for youth to change those criminogenic risk factors that require placement in Vermontâs most secure residential treatment facility for youths. The medical team provides coverage days, weekends and evenings with both direct services and consultation to a multidisciplinary team. The incumbent will provide direct services to residents and will work closely with the treating pediatrician and psychiatrists.
Hours are: one shift working 7am to 7pm and two shifts working 7am-9pm.

Minimum Qualifications
Possession of (or eligible for) licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont AND two (2) years or more of professional nursing experience in the nursing specialty.
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

NOTE: Must maintain Vermont licensure as a Registered Nurse as a condition of employment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Overtime work is required to maintain minimum staffing levels and for unannounced regulatory inspections and is considered a condition of employment. The ability to work overtime when required is an essential function of this job class.
Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. In accordance with applicable hiring standards, fingerprint supported criminal record checks, adult and child abuse registry checks, the Office of Inspector General exclusion database, and motor vehicle driving record checks, as appropriate to the positon under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion, or demotion into a classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.
For positions at the Vermont Veterans' Home: Any person who has had a charge of abuse, neglect or exploitation substantiated against him or her OR who has been convicted of an offense for actions related to bodily injury, theft or misuse of funds or property is not eligible under the Vermont Veterans' Home licensing requirements.
