The Certified Athletic Trainer is responsible for prevention, care and management of acute and chronic injuries of athletes involved in sport! ing events inclusive of practice and games. The trainer will provide injury evaluation and management and refer the athlete for appropriate treatment as necessary.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Athletic Training program with current licensure in the State of Vermont.
Experience: No prior experience required.
Certifications: NATABOC certified; CPR certified.
Other: The Certified Athletic Trainer must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the invidividuals being assisted. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. He or she must be able to assess and interpret data about the patient's status in order to identify each patient's specific needs and provide the care needed by the pediatric, adolescent and adult patient groups.
