The Allscripts Clinical Solutions Team is looking for an experienced physician leader with deep EHR experience to lead our Primary Care Solutions Team. This individual will! have the opportunity to lead a new team created to focus on clinical solution design, implementation, delivery, and support that will help our clients realize additional value from the use of their Allscripts EHR by their Primary Care providers.
This role has both strategic and operational leadership of this important area, and will interact directly with several stakeholder groups within Allscripts, as well as with our Primary Care Provider Advisory Boards, User Groups, and provider groups at our clients.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES)
1. Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Primary Care Solutions Team; manage team resources to achieve goals and effectively resolve issues that inevitably arise.
- Responsible for the Primary Care Solutions roadmap
- Manage priorities across our portfolio of ambulator! y EHR products
- Measure client success with solutions use
- Develop and maintain reference sites for key solutions
- Ensure excellent subject matter expertise for Sales and Support questions
- Leverage expertise within the Clinical Solutions Team
- Actively engage our Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Pediatric Specialty Provider Advisory Boards for success.
- Collaborate with product owners, program team leaders, Services, Documentation, Training, Support and others.
5. Work with Services and Product Development Teams to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of current product workflows to increase provider satisfaction and speed product adoption.
6. Participate in workflow reviews and product QA as needed in role as Primary Care workflow experts.
Job Requirements:
- MD or DO degree
- A minimum of 5 years of practice experience in a Primary Care clinical environment (U.S. based) as a provider.
- At least one year of experience with the implementation of an ambulatory EHR in a clinical practice as an active member of an EHR Project Team or similar. Experience with one or more of Allscripts’ ambulatory EHR products is a plus.
- Deep working knowledge of clinical workflows as they relate to EHRs.
- Knowledge of healthcare vocabularies and classifications such as SNOMED-CT and ICD-10 strongly preferred.
- Strong oral and written co! mmunication skills for use internally as well as externally with provid! er-users and prospects. Good listening skills are essential.
- Solid ability to manage projects that are delivered on time and meet or exceed expectations.
- Intermediate or higher skill in Office programs, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Enjoy working on a highly collaborative team with clinicians and technical resources.
- Commitment to quality and strong problem-solving skills are required in all aspects of this position.
- Commitment to continuous improvement is essential.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Travel requirements vary, but on average, expect one trip every 4 weeks to attend on site meetings, client visits and conferences.
