We ! are seeking a Manager of Registration with a strong background! in hospital admissions and management. The position will directly manage a staff of three leaders, indirectly managing 54 fte’s, and will report to the Director of Registration and Customer Service.
The Opportunity The Manager of Registration provides leadership and management for the planning, coordination and organization of all business processes and work efforts specific to Registration functions within a Pre-Arrival Call Center. The Manager will ensure that departmental goals and objectives are developed and met while maintaining quality assurance standards and adhering to regulatory requirements. The Organization ? Fletcher Allen has a medical staff of nearly 800 physicians, including more than 500 University of Vermont Medical Group physicians (jointly employed by Fletcher Allen and the UVM College of Medicine); and approximately 200 community-based physicians. In 2011, Fletcher Allen Partners was established to develop a more coordinated system of care throughout Vermont and Northern New York. Currently, there are four hospitals in the system, with two in Vermont and two in New York.
The Position The Manager of Registration is responsible for the ongoing management and daily operation of business functions which include; pre-registration/pre-admissions, insurance verification, financial counseling, pre-certification, collections, eligibility verification, and denials analysis, ultimately ensuring the success of front end revenue cycle functions. Additional responsibilitie! s include ensuring the systems deployed at the front end of the revenue! cycle are optimized, developing specifications on systems improvements, training and implementing improvements to ensure best practice. The Manager of Registration is responsible for systems training, and quality monitoring of performance and compliance.
The salary for this position ranges from (min) $61,380 to (max) $92,040 (DOE).
The Candidate ? The right candidate for this position must possess a Bachelor’s degree Health Care, Business Administration or related business area. Ideally, the incumbent will have their CHAM and/ or CPC certification.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of five years of experience in a hospital setting and at least two years in admissions. The ideal candidate has at least three years of past management experience. Call center experience within a Financial Clearance center is a plus.
Extensive knowledge and proven experience with MS Office applications, and an understanding of JCAHO, EMTALA, CMS and ! HIPAA regulations. A working knowledge of commercial, state and federal insurance regulations is a must. The incumbent must have demonstrated leadership ability, strong interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written mediums. The Manager of Registration also must have proven development, implementation and project management skills.
