This Vermont ICU/Special Care Unit needs an RN to start April 3rd for13 weeks with possibility of extending. Must have minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience. 8 and 12 hr night shifts. This position would be a guarantee of 36 hrs week (72 hrs per pay period), with the chance of working 40 hours per week on some weeks. Unit has 2 nurses on duty each shift. Responsible for providing assessment, planning, monitoring, and intervention for a patient population which includes seriously or critically ill cardiac, medical and surgical patients of various ages. Provide care for non ICU level pediatric population ages 28 days to 14 years is a possibility. Also provides Level 1 Post Anesthesia Care for surgical patients during hours when the PACU is not operational. Qualifications: Graduate of accredited RN program, currently licensed in the State of Vermont. Required: Previous critical! care experience, BLS Healthcare Provider status, ACLS Provide! r status, and venipuncture proficiency. Preferred: CCRN, PALS and/or ENPC, and BSN.
