Description: Fletcher Allen Health Care is presently looking of Emergency Communications Spec right now, this job will be reside in Vermont. The Emergency Communications Specialist is responsible for ensuring smooth, accurate, and efficient relay of information between EMS agencies, referring providers, cons! umers, and the Emergency Department. The Specialist is responsible for providing information relating to the health care system. The Specialist coordinates FACT missions. The Specialist performs accurate database entry for ambulance transports, FACT dispatch, and pertinent phone calls. The Specialist accurately records and relays critical lab values to the Emergency Department. The Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely notification of adult and pediatric trauma alerts, stroke alerts, and STEMI activations as per protocol.

REQUIRES WEEKENDS.
Education:
Required: Associate's Degree in a science or health care related field, or equivalency. Vermont EMT-B certification. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a science or health care related field. Vermont EMT-I certification.
Exper! ience:
Required: Two years of EMS, public safet! y, or allied healthcare service. Preferred: Prior communications / dispatch center experience.
