Summer Camp NurseCamp Billings in VermontCamp Billings on Lake Fairlee, in Thetford, Vermont is seeking an RN to serve as our head nurse for the summer of 2013.Dates: June 20 - August 17, 2013 Five days/six nig! hts per week (off Saturday/Sunday weekly)Requirements: Must be an RN with a license to practice in Vermont ( transferable license from another state or temporary license) Excellent clinical capabilities Strong organizational skills Enjoy working with children and young adults in an outdoor settingWho we are: Camp Billings is a 107 year old, traditional, coed, non-profit summer camp. Our total population of campers and staff is 250 persons. Our campers are good, middle-class children from Vermont, New England, the Northeast and throughout the US. About 15% of our children are French-Canadian.
Many of our campers are second and third generation to Billings. Most of our staff are former campers. We provide a nurturing and supportive environment for kids to explore their interests, improve their skill set, and above all else, have fun!Job responsibilities include: Contributing to the health and safety of all of our camp family Medication management and distribution Coo! rdinating with local pediatrician and EMTs Precise record keep! ing Initial diagnoses of illness, accident or injury Communication with parents when necessary Screening campers on registration days when required Management of all health forms Assistance in setting camp health and safety policiesWe provide: A competitive, negotiable salary (based upon experience) Housing and all meals An infirmary assistant seven days per week Children come to camp free!For more information: Bob Green, Director954-683-6916email: Beachbawb@gmail.com
