The Director for Accountable Care Clinical Operations has responsibility for strategic direction and daily operations of the clinically related departments, programs and activities of Vermont Managed Care (VMC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fletcher Allen Health Care, serving constituencies comprised of accountable care organizations, payers, provider networks, individual providers and patients, and defined population groups. Specifically included are the programs and activities of the Credentialing and Enrollment, Managed Care Services, and Case Management departments of the corporation; as! well as the typical duties and accountabilities for a senior ! clinical leader serving one or more physician hospital organizations and/or accountable care organizations. In addition to leading and managing three major VMC departments, the Director directs and implements care management, utilization review, credentialling and enrollment strategies for the related accountable care organizations and the VMC network(s).
The Director is also responsible for: -Developing, implementing and overseeing the clinical and operational components of the Fletcher Allen Preferred Medical Plan -Supporting the VMC Board Care Management Committee and the VMC Credentials Committee -Overseeing third party claims administration, credentialing, utilization management and case management activities delegated through contracts with other organizations -Developing and implementing new programs to benefit Vermont Managed Care constituents -Assuring compliance with applicable regulatory and professional standards
