Fletcher Allen is a 562-bed academic medical center affiliated with the University Of Vermont College Of Medicine. We are a Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center serving a population of one million throughout Vermont and Northern New York. With over 6,500 employees, we are the largest private employer in the state of Vermont. We seek a full time outpatient PA to work at our Ortho Specialty Center in South Burlington, Vermont. This position is in a fast paced environment serving a wide range of patients (no pediatrics). The Physician Assistant provides comprehensive health care to patients in various states of health or illness in collaboration with one or more physicians using guidelines agreed upon with physicians. Practices medicine as directed by Physician supervision under the scope of practice developed with their physician group.
Education:
Successful completion of educational program recognized by the national Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, certification as a Vermont Physician Assistant through completion of Board approved apprenticeship and evaluation or graduation from the board-approved P.A. program. Must have P.A. and Bachelor’s Degree. Successful completion of a CAAHEP approved PA educational program. NCCPA certification is expected. Certification from the Vt. Board of Medical Practice as a PA is required. Must have a bachelor's degree, master degree preferred. New graduates encouraged to apply.
