Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM part time opportunity
The Research Specialist performs a variety of tasks to support the credit union with accounts and loan research, subpoenas, and record fulfillment. Key responsibilities include assisting members, non-members, and third-party companies through phone, letters, and secure email. This individual reports to the Records and Research Manager. An ideal candidate provides quality, dependable, and accurate service when fulfilling requests.

Responsibilities:
- Research and retrieve copies or transactions requested by members or departments
- Process incoming physical and image mail postings to members’ accounts
- Maintain complete and accurate records regardless of the record’s format
- Participate in the destruction of records beyond retention in compliance with the credit union policy, NCUA Rules and Regulations, and the State of Florida requirements
- Accept and fulfill incoming requests for mortgage compliance, verification of deposits, subpoenas, or other account inquiries
- Monitor assigned workflow queues for completion and accuracy
- Maintain the utmost concern for the confidentiality and privacy of member data
- Communicate daily work progress and issues to the manager
- Recommend necessary changes in the Research Department
- Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge and remain current with compliance guidelines
- 2+ years of research and record keeping, preferably with a financial institution
- Ability to prioritize tasks by managing competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
- Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management
- Ability to analyze and resolve routine problems or situations
- Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
- Ability to communicate information requiring explanation or interpretation
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
